In the process of organizing my computer today, I came across a couple of old artworks that never really got posted or finished. So I wrapped them up and here they are:
[x01] Kat Graham Wallpaper (TVD)
[x01] Party Manip of Alice and Rosalie (TW) - I started this way back for New Years

P.S. I just finished Kelley Armstrong's last Otherworld book, Thirteen. Wonderful book - so sad to see the series ending :( Anyone else a fan of her work?

honeybooboo copy

Summary: A very quick video for Honey Boo Boo from Toddlers and Tiaras. I saw her latest episode (6x05) and could not pick my jaw up off the floor when they showed her snuggling a deer carcass like a baby doll. The rest of the episode, during all her scenes, I kept hearing that twangy redneck banjo song from Deliverance. So, in an effort to get it out of my head and share with everyone the otherworldliness of Honey Boo Boo, I had to make this video. Enjoy
Created: August 2012
Program: Sony Vegas
Music: Dueling Banjos from Deliverance OST; Dueling Banjos (short version) by Adventures of Sam John
Source Material: Toddlers and Tiaras - Episode 6x05 (2012) (c) TLC
Notes: She actually could be a very cute little girl (evidence) - she probably just needs parents who don't think farting is a great punch line.

Summary: A sort of post-season 3 Elena vid. While Elena is unconscious and transitioning, she's thinking back through the people who have affected her human life - how she has been surrounded by people who protected her, taught her, and guided her, even if they were hurting her. But despite these people, in the end it was her who was in control of her choices. It was her alone who decided what was worth living and dying for. And through all the heartache and struggle, she learned how to be strong. Now that she's a vampire, she has all the weapons she needs to fight anyone who threatens her or her loved ones.
Note: Yes, I did insert a few Katherine clips at the end because I needed a clip of Elena vamped out and kicking ass - but for the purposes of this vid, it's Elena throughout.
Created: June 2012
Program: Sony Vegas
Music: Keep the Streets Empty for Me by Fever Ray; Abraham's Daughter by Arcade Fire
Source Material: The Vampire Diaries (2009-2012) (c) Warner Bros.
Voice Over: "Everyone has an Angel. A Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, old man. Next day, little girl. But don't let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart. Reminding that it's us. Its everyone of us who holds power over the world we create. We can deny angels exist, Convince ourselves they can't be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places and at strange times. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They'll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight. Who teaches us what's real, and how to laugh at lies? Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us? And who holds the key that can set us free... It's You. You have all the weapons you need. Now Fight!" Sucker Punch (Sweet Pea's voiceover) (2011) (c) Warner Bros.

Seriously. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK WORLD.

"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."

The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

Hi,

I signed a petition to Rep. John Kline (MN-2), The United States House of Representatives, and 2 others which says:

"Total outstanding student loan debt in America is expected to exceed $1 TRILLION this year. Millions of hardworking, taxpaying, educated Americans are being crushed under the weight of their educational debts, while the economy continues to sputter. Support a REAL economic stimulus and jobs plan. Support the Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012 (H.R. 4170)."

Will you sign this petition? Click here:

Thanks!

Congress is currently considering CISPA – the Cyber Intelligence Sharing & Protection Act – a bill that purports to protect the United States from “cyber threats” but would in fact create a gaping loophole in all existing privacy laws. If CISPA passes, companies could vacuum up huge swaths of data on everyday Internet users and share it with the government without a court order. I oppose CISPA, and I’m calling on Congress to reject any legislation that:
* Uses dangerously vague language to define the breadth of data that can be shared with the government.
* Hands the reins of America’s cybersecurity defenses to the NSA, an agency with no transparency and little accountability.
* Allows data shared with the government to be used for purposes unrelated to cybersecurity.

Join me in opposing this bill by posting this statement on your own page and using this online form to send a letter to Congress against CISPA:

https://action.eff.org/o/9042/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8444

EFF also has a great "Action Center" where you can just input your address and it will automatically generate an email to be sent to your Congress reps. It's minimal work on your part that can have a HUGE impact on what happens to this act.
